Friday night and I’m looking forward to a evening of brap and ‘money grabbing’ . I’m standing waiting for Hip Hop legends Dead Prez to come on stage. To my very pleasant surpise our own ‘ackney wide boy and one of my favourite UK MC’s Klashnekoff is providing us with some very quick little uk blasts to a disgruntled crowd while we wait for the main act. For those who don’t know Dead Prez are a politicly charged Hip Hop group who are widely known for for their hit ‘Hip Hop‘ which can be filed next to J5’s classic ‘Concrete school yard’. Hip Hop hits that span subcultures are something to be proud of. I’ve heard them played Metal clubs, Indie clubs and all rounder nights alike. Tonight I’m looking forward to seeing more than just a one hit wonder.
