I’m at Club NME’s very own Halloween event at the KOKO tonight. I’m still in my civies and I’m clearly not out to party, I’ve got a face like slapped arse. I missed the first 3 songs of Invasion after being accosted by women who “worked for Saatchi and Saatchi” who needed money for a cab home/crack. I can’t praise the KOKO staff enough for letting me duck in and catch a song in the pit. Invasion were mind blowing, I’d heard alot of good things from my friends at Thrash Hits and NME have been harking on about them recently. I was surprised to find they had groove. They sound like The Sword borrowed Beth Ditto for the night. They were so good I brought the t-shirt….
