Been waiting a long time to see the groove laiden kings of blues rock Clutch. Bad luck has prevented me getting around to see them live for nye on 6 years. So tonight I’m excited to be shooting them at my second home KOKO. I’m not just treated to Clutch tonight though oh no. Kylesa, a band I’ve heard bounded around the stoner/doom circles of London and Windsor rip up the stage first by putting on a show that would put any other headlining band to shame. Not veterans like our boys Clutch though who are here to make hairy heads nod and beard engulfed lips pout. The place is rammed, the interlude more of a torrent of rockers than a bar rush, the crowd are beer fuelled and spilling drinks on me or doing beer bongs. This night is almost perfect…
