Between listening to Deicide and Emperor this week I’ve been going mental for The National’s new album High Violet. I’ve had 4 favourite tracks already from this slow burning masterpiece! Last week I was lucky enough to see them twice, both at Camden’s Electric Ballroom and Royal Albert Hall.
The Soft Pack are certainly not something normally I’d rave about. Coming from a teenage Doom metal head’s point of view they are positively pure filth. I’m not longer that teenager though, I must admit this. I like garage punk and I love The Soft Pack. These guys were cheated tonight by a crowd of [...]
Wandering the dark backstreets of Camden is not something I’d normally recommend to anyone but it is the only way you’ll find tonight’s venue. The Black Heart has proved itself to be a hidden gem of Camden Town by simply walking around the corner to find a giant black heart swinging from the wall. The Marginalised festival is in its second year supporting the charity Margins, a charity based right here in the Union Chapel. Margins helps the [...]

What keeps me going to watch and photograph HEALTH is pretty much the same as makes people peer through their fingers when watching horror movies. HEALTH are so loud they make you feel like your ears are bleeding. Their unique blend of noise, dance and airy psychedelic vocals has every hipster in town out for [...]
I had a tough time trying to get a photo pass for this gig. lucky for me, the new residencey at KOKO came just in time for me to get in front of the blundgingly heavy atmospheric post hardcore giants ISIS.
